Dear Conrad Weiser Family,
Welcome to the 2023-2024 academic year! It is exciting to think about the opportunities and potential that lie ahead. I take great pride in being a member of the Conrad Weiser community and embracing our shared identity as #WeAreWeiser.
Our top priority at West is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for all students. We strive to foster both their social-emotional and academic development. The staff at Conrad Weiser is fully committed to achieving this goal through their unwavering dedication and hard work. We are proud to say that our team is unbeatable and truly rocks! #ourstaffrocks
This year, we will focus on implementing the state of Pennsylvania's structured literacy and STEELS standards. We will utilize a new phonics curriculum in our K-2 classrooms that is more explicit, systematic, and research-based. Our third and fourth-grade teams will utilize a team teaching approach, which is exciting.
We have expanded our team to serve our students better. We welcome Mr. Gantz as the Dean of Students and Mrs. Getz as a new resource for Gifted Support and Intervention. Their positions were added to enhance our support for students.
I am entering my fourth year as the Principal of Conrad Weiser West Elementary. Before joining the CW community as a classroom teacher in 2017, I taught in the Reading School District. My Bachelor's degree in Organizational Psychology was earned at Albright College. Following that, I obtained my Master of Education and administrative certification from Kutztown University.
Conrad Weiser Elementary schools are committed to providing every student with equal educational opportunities. To achieve this, Mrs. Rhoads and I work closely with the faculty and staff to ensure all students receive the support they need.
