The Conrad Weiser Area School District is located in western Berks County in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. This district serves South Heidelberg Township, Heidelberg Township, North Heidelberg Township, Marion Township, and the Boroughs of Wernersville, Robesonia, and Womelsdorf. Eight properties in a housing development in West Cocalico in Lancaster County also attend the District's schools. The District encompasses approximately 100 square miles (260 km2).
According to 2000 federal census data, it serves a resident population of 23,777. By 2022, the District's population declined to 20,055 people. In 2022, Conrad Weiser Area School District residents’ per capita income was $40,200, while the median family income was $83,135. During the same time, the Commonwealth median family income was $73,170 and the United States median family income was $74,580.
According to Conrad Weiser Area School District officials, in the school year 2021-22 the Conrad Weiser Area School District provided basic educational services to 2,522 pupils through the employment of 231 teachers, 155 full-time and part-time support personnel, and 17 administrators. Conrad Weiser Area School District received more than $16.5 million in state funding in the school year 2021-22. The total increased to $18.3 million with ESSER funding in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the 1980s, a small group of Lancaster County property owners in the Cocalico School District was successful in seceding from the district. They formed a small district called Squire Hill Independent School District. The new District was short-lived merging with Conrad Weiser Area School District.
Conrad Weiser Area School District operates four schools: Conrad Weiser High School (9th–12th), Conrad Weiser Middle School (5th–8th), Conrad Weiser East Elementary School (K-4th) and Conrad Weiser West Elementary School (K-4th).
The District is named for Conrad Weiser, an important Pennsylvanian in colonial days, especially known as an interpreter and emissary in councils between Native Americans and the colonies.

Requesting Records
Requests for records must be addressed to the Agency Open Records Officer and can be submitted by email, fax, mail, or in person. The request should be specific and not seek answers to questions. After filing a request, a response will be issued within 5 business days.
Right to Know requests will only be fulfilled if submitted by a legal resident of the United States. Anonymous requests will not be fulfilled. The District reserves the right to request proof of a requester’s status, including, but not limited to: a physical address, or proof of legal status in the United States such as a Social Security Number, copy of passport, driver’s license, or immigration documents.

Filing an Appeal
When a request is denied or deemed in denial, a requester may file an appeal to the Pennsylvania Office of Open Records. The appeal must be filed within 15 business days of the denial or deemed denial date. The appeal must also include the request, agency denial if one exists, and address agency grounds that the request was denied. An appeals officer will determine if the record(s) is subject to public access.
